Tip: For better and faster menu performance, we recommend using small-sized image files.
-
Choose .jpg format instead of .png whenever possible.
-
Keep image widths under 1500 pixels.
-
For optimal results, compress your images before uploading using free tools like youcompress.com.
Important: Only upload images you have full rights to use. Uploading photos from the internet without proper permission can lead to serious legal consequences, including fines and court action.

If this item has only one price, you can leave the titles blank. For multiple prices, list the default or lowest price first. Use the title to specify the price details (e.g., 125ml, 175ml, etc.).

Item Categories help you organize your menu further by grouping closely related items within the same category together.
Items set as Item Category are not suitable to display a dish or a drink anymore. Use them for visual organization only — don't add price to them (ideally only a title, maybe a short description).
Important:
-
To add an Item Category, always create a new Menu Item and designate it as an Item Category.
-
Do not convert an existing Menu Item into an Item Category — doing so will remove it from the visible menu.

Guide For Managing Menu Items
Before adding menu items, you need to set up your categories, as every menu item must belong to a category. If you haven’t created your categories yet, please start there.
Once your categories are set up, you can add your first menu item by clicking the “Create New Item” button.
Initially, it will be titled “New Menu Item (1). Rename and edit it!”. Begin by renaming it—simply enter your new title in the Item Title field.
To add a short or detailed description for the item, click the “+” icon next to the Item Description heading.
Tip: Ideally, you’ll have already set your languages before you start adding menu items. If you have, you’ll see buttons to open input fields for each language. This allows you to add translations for the title, short description, and long description.
If you need help translating your menu, feel free to contact us at contact@yourdigitalmenu.com or via WhatsApp at +34 672 076 448—we may be able to help.
Important: Click Save Changes frequently as you enter new text. Otherwise, if you forget and navigate to another menu item or page, you’ll lose any unsaved data. Save buttons are located both at the top and bottom of the menu item box.
As mentioned earlier, every item must be assigned to a category. Choose a category from the dropdown list under the “Select a Category” header
You can access your menu items in two ways:
-
By Category:
-
Select a category from the dropdown in the left-side banner.
-
You’ll see a list of all items in that category. Click any item to open its details page.
-
-
By Title Search:
-
Use the “Search by Menu Item Title” dropdown at the top of the page.
-
This lists all your items in alphabetical order, allowing you to quickly locate and edit any item.
-
-
Keep in mind that if you rename an existing category, its menu items will lose their connection and won’t automatically appear under the new category name.
To find the affected menu items, use the “Search by Menu Item Title” search bar. Then reconnect them to the renamed category and click “Save Changes.”
Each menu item can have up to three prices to represent different variants, such as size, weight, or portion.
-
If you don’t need all three variants, start filling the price fields from the top.
-
Use the Default Price if you only have one variant.
-
Use the Default and Second Price fields if you have two variants.
-
The Price Title fields are optional. If you leave them blank, they won’t appear on your menu. Price titles will only be displayed if you have at least two variants for the item.
We recommend using internationally recognized labels for price titles, such as S, M, L, XL or 100g, 150g, 200g, as these will not be translated.
Important: Any price changes made here will immediately affect your live menu. If you want to test new pricing without publishing changes, use the Pricing Sandbox page instead.
-
You can add a photo to your category using the Upload button.
Adding a photo is optional. If you don’t upload one, it will simply collapse in the menu display.
Important: Only upload images you have full rights to use. Uploading photos from the internet without proper permission can lead to serious legal consequences, including fines and court action.
By using our platform, you acknowledge and accept that if we receive any legal claims regarding photos you’ve uploaded, we will forward these claims to you.
You can also include a video for your menu item.
All videos must be hosted on YouTube. Simply paste the YouTube URL into the designated field.
Don’t have a YouTube channel or prefer not to use yours? We’d be happy to host your video for you! Just message us on WhatsApp (+34 672 076 448) and we’ll help you upload and link it.
In many countries—including the entire European Union, the UK, and the USA—it’s mandatory to display whether a product contains any of the 14 allergens defined by international law.
Click the “Set Allergens” button and select the relevant allergens using the checkboxes. The chosen allergen icons will appear under the item on your menu, along with a translated written list.
When guests use the interactive allergen filter, all items containing allergens they’ve selected will automatically be hidden from their menu view for the duration of their session.
After clicking the “Set Ingredients” button, you can assign icons to the item to indicate its ingredients—such as fish, pork, etc.—or highlight important attributes like spicy, halal, vegan, and more.
You can choose to hide an item from your menu during specific times. For example, if you don’t serve a meal after 11:00 a.m., select all days and set “Hide from” 11:00 a.m. “Until” your closing time.
If you have items that should appear only on weekends, simply select all weekdays to hide and set the timing from your opening to closing hours.
The menu item will automatically be hidden during the specified times and visible at all other times.
If you wish to stop offering a meal or drink temporarily without deleting it, use the Hide Item button.
The product won’t appear on your menu until you reactivate it by clicking Show Item.
In the left-side menu item list, hidden products are shown in red.
You can arrange the order of your items in two ways:
-
Change the number next to each item title in the left-side menu item list.
-
Modify the Position number in the blue header of each item. Remember to click Save Changes after updating the number here.
The order numbers don’t need to be consecutive. You can assign higher numbers to some menu items to create space for adjusting others. The system will always display items starting with the lowest number and progressing to higher ones.
-
To add more menu items, click the Create New Item button at the bottom of the page.
